Software Developer/Engineer, Journey/Senior

Position Overview/Functional Responsibilities:
Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis. Update software or enhance existing software capabilities. May work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems, develop specifications, and performance requirements. May maintain databases within an application area, working individually or coordinating database development as part of a team.

Required Education:
BS or BA degree in a Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering. Degree must be from an accredited college. (Degree REQUIRED, an associate’s degree and additional years of experience cannot be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree).

Required Experience:
At least five (5) years of software development experience, performing software requirements analysis, software design, software coding, software integration and software testing in a corporate or governmental Software Development Environment.

Desired Experience:
Background in embedded, MIL-STD-1553/ARINC-429/Ethernet/Serial

Security Clearance:
Ability to acquire and maintain a Secret clearance

CNA or Network Engineer

Position Overview/Functional Responsibilities:
Implement computer and information networks, such as local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), intranets, and other data communications networks. Assists Network Engineer with network modeling, analysis, and planning, including analysis of capacity needs for network infrastructures. May also implement network and computer security measures. May research and recommend network and data communications hardware and software

Required Education:
BS or BA degree in a technical degree.

Required Experience:
At least five (5) years of experience in network implementation

Security Clearance:
Ability to acquire and maintain a Secret clearance



Software Engineer, Journey/Senior

Position Overview/Functional Responsibilities:
Analyze computer science, engineering, and other software engineering problems to develop and implement solutions to complex applications problems, system design and development issues, or network concerns. Perform software management and integration functions, improve existing computer systems, and review computer system capabilities, software architecture, throughput, real-time processing limitations, Cybersecurity and software safety. Analyze commercially available, open source, government furnished and Contractor furnished software. Performs the role of Software Architect. Collaborates with other NAVAIR departments such as System/Software Safety and Cyber detachment in performance of duties.

Required Education:
BS or BA degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or Computer Engineering from a college program with ABET (Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology, Inc.) certification. (Degree REQUIRED, neither an associate’s degree nor additional years of experience can be substituted for a Bachelor’s degree).

Required Experience:
At least five (5) years of software engineering experience, performing software requirements analysis, software design, software coding, software integration and software testing. At least three (3) years of the five (5) years of experience shall have consisted of performing software engineering functions for a DoD aircraft systems, DoD weapons systems, DoD mission systems or DoD support systems.

Desired Experience:
Scrum Master experience.

Security Clearance:
Ability to acquire and maintain a Secret clearance
